Creating a version action

A version action causes a new version of an item to be created when run.

About this task

To create a version action, open the applications menu and go to Content > Web Content Management and then click New > Workflow Actions > Version Action.
  1. Defining identification details for the version action
    Specify identification information for the version action, including the name, title and description of the version action.
  2. Specify a location for the version action
    When creating a version action you can specify the location of the version action.
  3. Defining version action properties
    Specify properties for the version action, including the list of authors and owners associated with the version action.
  4. Defining version action access settings
    Specify the access control settings for the version action to determine which users have access to the version action and their level of access.
