NEW BUNKER ADJUSTMENT FACTOR (NBAF)

IMPORTANT NOTICE

In order to comply with a new IMO 2020 Low Sulphur Regulation, all operated vessels around the globe are obliged to use the new marine fuel in which content 

is limited to 0,5 % of Sulphur.

The new IMO 2020 Low Sulphur Regulation impacts the global shipping industry and shipping costs are set to increase worldwide.

 

Ignazio Messina line as from 1st December 2019, will start to apply the new bunker adjustment factor (NBAF) based on the following formula:

NEW BUNKER ADJUSTMENT FACTOR = Very Low Sulphur Oil (VLSFO) Price per ton X LINE FACTOR (*)

Line Factor will be calculated separately for each different trade

(*) Line factor = FUEL CONSUMPTION/CARRIED EQUIVALENT TEU

 

Therefore all in rates will be splitted as follows: basic rates + new bunker adjustment factor

NBAF for December will consider the October average cost for VLSFO (Very Low Sulphur Oil)

NBAF will be updated on a monthly basis.

Thc increase from Mediterranean ports as from 01/10/2020 (b.l. date)

 
ITALY
THC  for dry units, HC and open top in gauge will be increased to euro 180/cntr,  both export and import.
 
SPAIN
THC for dry units, HC and open top in gauge will be increased to euro 190/cntr, both export and import.
 
FRANCE
THC for dry units, HC and open top in gauge  will be increased to euro 205/cntr, both export and import.

LIFT ON / LIFT OFF

Implementation of Lift on / Lift off fee from Naples

Effective from 1/10/20, export from Naples will attract a Lift on-lift off fee of Euro 20/cntr, to be charged to shippers in case of merchant haulage.

The Covid 19 pandemic and the challenges we are all facing in managing the supply chain, are causing significant increased and unforeseeable costs.
Under the prevailing circumstances and uncertainties in order to keep our operations and services up and running, we decided to maintain our current NBAF levels until further notice.

Port Contribution Surcharge to Lybian ports

Please be informed that due to the current port situation in Lybia our Company decided to implement a Port Contribution surcharge, which will be applied from all POLs to Lybian ports  .

 

The Port Contribution surcharge (PSUS) amounts to € 100/TEU (or $ 100/TEU) and is valid with immediate effect.

Due to the recent incidents in the Strait of Hormuz and the related significant increasing of insurance costs in the Middle East Gulf region, our Company is forced to implement an EMERGENCY WAR RISK SURCHARGE which will be applied with immediate effect as follows:  

 

From and To UAE, Oman, Bahrein, Saudi Arabia (Dammam + Jubail), Kuwait, Iraq

Containers : USD 55/TEU

RORO : USD 3/WM (with a minimum of USD 100/unit)

  

From and To Iran

Containers : EURO 100/TEU

War risk fee to Lybian ports

War risk fee to Lybian ports

Due to the current unstable situation in Lybia our Company decided to implement an Emergency War Risk surcharge which will be applied from all the ports of the Mediterranean area to the Lybian ports  .

 

The War Risk surcharge (WS) amounts to € 50/TEU (or $ 60/TEU) and is valid with immediate effect and until further notice.

Genoa Logistics update

Our company expresses its deep and sincere sympathy to the families of all the victims involved in the tragic accident of the last 14th August.

Even in such a dramatic moment for our city, we immediately took action in cooperating with all Institutions and Authorities in charge in order to identify the best logistics solutions and allow operativity continuation for the Port of Genoa, with the clear target to ensure the full efficiency of our services.

For what concerns road connections, solutions have already been found and will be implemented very soon; for what concerns rail lines, awaiting their restoration expected within the next 15/20 days, we will guarantee connections by truck maintaining economic conditions unchanged (intermodal) to/from our IMT Terminal in Genoa, which we confirm is fully operational and flexible.
